For anyone interested in entering cybersecurity or studying for the ISC2 CISSP exam, these are the resources and study methods I found most useful.
My CISSP study method
The Sybex Official Study Guide was the main book I relied on. I recommend reading it word for word, ideally twice, and doing the chapter-end quizzes several times.
The Shon Harris All-in-One book was another important resource because it explained difficult topics in a more approachable way.
For practice questions, Boson and CCCure were the most useful tools for finding knowledge gaps and getting used to the exam mindset.
Exam day
My exam was scheduled for 8:00 AM. I woke up around 3:00 AM, watched a few final review videos, completed quick quizzes in the CISSP study app, and did some stretching before heading to the testing center.
The exam started about 30 minutes late because of connection issues at the Pearson VUE location. I passed at around 105 questions and honestly felt about 50/50 on whether I had passed or failed.
